Best cricketing memory: The whole season of 1976, when Leinster 3rd XI lost the Middle Cup Final by two wickets, but went on to win the Intermediate League
Worst cricketing memory: Refusing to leave the wicket when obviously out and batting on. This was as a schoolboy against Merrion. I have walked ever since.
Funniest Cricketing Moment: Bowling my father round his legs in a match between UCD and Clontarf in the Sixties.
Favourite Innings: Opening the batting with Louis Hogan for Clontarf 3rd XI in the Phoenix Park on a glorious sunny day and putting on 80 for the first wicket in an hour.
Favourite International Cricketer(s): Malcolm Hilton, Tony Lock, Derek Underwood, Bishen Bedi and now Monty Panesar. Of course our own International cricketers Eddie Ingram, Scott Huey and Dermot Montieth. Of course one has to have great pride in Ed Joyce and our own team that will play in the World Cup.

Hopes for my career: To be able to bowl a good line and length and not go for more than three runs an over and take a few wickets from time to time to keep up my spirit. To be a partner in a useful partnership from time to time. To stop the occasional boundary and to take five catches per season.
A short summary of me as a player: The game of cricket has meant for me long friendships brought about by a
common interest and love of the game that I have treasured.
