- Although probably not as good as it could have been, runners-up spot would have been confirmed if
the crucial Malahide match at the end of the season could have been
won. However despite heroics from Amir Khan, a good Malahide side won,
and Dixit's men had to be content with 3rd spot.

-After Andrew Oliver departed the captaincy to concentrate on nursing duties, the team floundered for a while.
In the middle of July after 6 league games, the 5ths had only won
three. However Rakesh Dixit grabbed the team by the scruff of the neck,
and five of the last six games were won to surge up to 3rd spot in the
league. Six players scored over 100 runs - Cormac Kenny with 107 early in the season and Asif Hussein with
351 at the end. In between Kizhar Khan (193), Naga Trakulara (162),
Justin Storey (185) and the skipper himself (101) all contributed. With
the ball, Bharat Sharma (14 wickets), Dixit (20) and Kizhar Khan (13)
did the damage
